Biography

Shahin Soltani was born in Kermanshah, Iran. He began his academic journey in 2006 when he was admitted to the field of Speech Therapy at Tehran University of Medical Sciences. In 2010, he ranked second in the national entrance exam for a master's degree in Rehabilitation Management at the same university. In 2012, he pursued a Ph.D. in Health Policy, also at Tehran University of Medical Sciences.

For his master's thesis, he explored the psychometric properties of the Supports Intensity Scale. His doctoral dissertation focused on developing an evidence-based framework to enhance access to healthcare services for people with disabilities in Iran.

Dr. Soltani's research interests include health equity for individuals with disabilities, improving the delivery of rehabilitation services, health financing in Iran, and evaluating health system performance.

Currently, he serves as an Assistant Professor of Health Policy in the Department of Public Health and is the Research Vice-Chancellor at the Environmental Determinants of Health Research Center, Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences.
